Does the decorative concrete colour fade?
No, the decorative concrete colour will not fade. The decorative concrete will be sealed to protect the colours from the Sun’s harmful UV rays. Dirt can sometimes give the appearance of colour fading. However, this can be easily restored to its original state by simply cleaning the surface.
Can decorative concrete be installed over existing concrete?
Yes, decorative concrete can be installed over existing concrete. In some cases, we may need to cap or pour over existing concrete.
Can you park on decorative concrete?
Yes, you can park your car on decorative concrete. We recommend that you wait for four to seven days, after installation, before parking on it.
How thick is decorative concrete?
Our standard decorative concrete pour is a minimum of four inches. In some situations, we may need to install six inches of concrete.
Can cracks be prevented?
We install expansion gaps in our decorative concrete, as recommended by British Standards for concrete installations. Expansion gaps minimise the risk of surface cracks as they absorb the natural movement that occurs in land. We can’t guarantee that a crack will not form over time. However, the durability of decorative concrete over alternative materials is amazing.
Is decorative concrete slippery?
Decorative concrete has a textured finish which provides grip. Traction is also aided by the final sealant, which includes an anti-slip compound known as Rhino Grip.
How long does it take to install decorative concrete?
Most domestic decorative concrete projects take on average a week to install. However, factors such as size and weather determine this.
What are the advantages of decorative concrete over other building materials?
